Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As the school year comes to an end, I'd like for my students to know that the culmination of their hard work throughout their 4th grade math and science career has come to and end. We've learned about the Law of Conservation of Mass in science and perfected our ability to multiply and divided with automaticity. As they work to put their individual Lego sets such as the cars and flowers, we can apply our math and science skills that we've learned throughout the year. Do we have enough of each part to be able to consider changing it into something different?
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful real-world math and science.
Helping students understand the most important question of, "Will I ever use this in the real-world?" and having them implement the skills that they have learned will allow them to fully understand that we have learned skills that will further us into our math and science journeys.
