My Students
This is my third year teaching students in a whole different capacity as the STEAM cluster. I work to incorporate the five disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math to bring STEAM alive in our school. My students range from kindergarten through fifth grade, and I teach a variety of learners.
My students are from diverse backgrounds and my goal is that they all have access to projects and activities that support their needs.
From students with special needs in our Autistic Horizon classes or ICT students, to our more independent learners, all students have access to STEM-related activities at all levels when they visit me. My students are excited each day and enjoy a positive project-based learning experience when they visit my class!
I look forward to listening to the buzzing and chatting in my classroom as students try new strategies, share ideas and work as a team to become problem solvers. I am thrilled when my young learners experience something new or try something they never did before. Each day brings new and exciting adventures for all my young learners in our STEAM classroom!
My Project
This project will allow my youngest learners the chance to explore Lego in an easy way.
Small pieces are difficult for tiny hands and Duplo makes it so much easier!
This kit will provide hours of fun and creativity for my youngest engineers. My World provides playful learning experiences that will teach my students about the world around them with exciting building activities. Lego also supports collaboration and communication which are essential in our STEAM class. My hope is that my youngest engineers will develop these skills and will build on what they have learned each year. I look forward to sharing these materials with my students now, and for years to come.
