My Students

Our school is a Title I school that serves children in third through fifth grade. In addition to general education classes, our school hosts the third-fifth grade self-contained special needs population for the entire district. We believe in the importance of getting outside and the power of play.

When you walk through our school you will notice how all our students are individuals, yet have so much in common with their love of learning and a smile for all!

Please help us put a smile on their faces!

My Project

Students need a chance to express themselves! Students feel comfortable with LEGOs. For this project, students will create social and emotional stop motion movies that they will share with their peers. With proper lighting and a movie-making kit, students may express themselves through LEGO figures, journaling as they write the script, and cooperative learning. Students will even be able to use Zoom and share movies from home so they feel a connection to their classroom. Students use this area to write to be inspired to write stories about themselves which helps them to be mindful of their thoughts and feelings. It also allows the teacher to set up examples of friendship situations so students can be inspired to act and write how they would react and feel in that situation.
