Help me give my students Lego sets to improve social skills and communication, build confidence, lower stress, and manage anxiety while having fun learning.
In LEGO® Club Class, students will develop many skills such as social, critical thinking, and communication. While students are building with LEGOS® having fun, they will have time to interact and connect with other students. This will help them to learn from each other, learn how to make friends, share, and take turns. These skills will help them succeed in life.
LEGO® Club Class provides a way to master problem solving skills, spatial skills and step-by-step solutions.
Students figure out how to translate a 2-dimensional image into a 3-dimensional figure enabling students to plan ahead and make necessary alterations so the pieces fit together as intended. This process nurtures problem-solving skills and enhances creativity.
My students occupy the lower end of nearly every demographic stratum; the school enrolls 100% economically disadvantaged students with 99.8% minority enrollment. Most are developing English-language skills. Even with so many challenges, my students want to learn and grow!
