Our students are the type of students who are excited to learn. They come in daily with an expectancy of "what" is going to happen next. They are curious thinkers who are willing to take risks. From day one, teachers at our school build an environment where students desire to take ownership in learning.
Our students now love hands-on learning and jump at the chance to use their thinking and problem solving.
As with anything new, this was a challenge, but through various activities and our classroom environments, they learned that it is okay to try, even if they fail. Well, especially if they fail. Learning through STEM that failure makes us better with self evaluation, our students have progressed greatly. I am excited to see their further progression.
My Project
The use of LEGOS is a great way to get students thinking and problem solving. This is important in learning. The base plates will piece together to make the wall. After we have received the plates and glue, we will assemble our wall in the Science Lab for all to use. Not only can we use this LEGO wall for curriculum, but also, as incentives for our students as well.
