Help me give my students I am incorporating a Fun Friday Reading for my Spanish 2 classes and would like to start with this short story book which includes vocabulary lists and comprehension questions for each chapter.

My Project

Learning another language can be tedious with all the grammar and vocabulary learning. It takes time to process the second language and translate it into the first language and rethink a reply into the second language again. The time it takes can frustrate students.

The best way to move past the frustration is by practicing in a way that is enjoyable.

These books, written by a Spanish professor, are meant for beginners, using only the present tense and comes with a helpful vocabulary list at the beginning of each "chapter" and finishes with comprehensive questions.

I plan on pairing my students up, taking turns to read the passages aloud, while the other partner reads along. They can use the dictionary to help them with any words not included in the given vocabulary list, and work on the questions together, or they can be done as homework.

I sincerely hope that my students will enjoy this break from the boring routine of note taking!
