This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students live in a small community in Northeast Alabama. 68% of students at my school receive free and reduced-price lunch. Even though many of our students live at or below the poverty line, students and teachers at my school work hard to bridge the achievement gap. Students receive an education full of rigor and receive quality instruction from a vast array of trained professional educators. Our high school is committed to helping our students become successful global citizens in the 21st century.
My Project
Being able to immerse students I to learning is important in the 21st century. By using these virtual reality headsets, students will be able to explore the word without ever leaving the classroom. Students would be able to see ancient wonders, National Parks, historical places without ever leaving Weaver High School.
Our students constantly are competing with others in the world in education.
Allowing students to virtually explore places allows a whole new aspect in learning. Hopefully, students will gain a thirst for adventure by viewing these places and want to actually go learn about, study, and discover new information on their own.
