Leaving a Legacy of Beauty and Creativity

Help me give my students stepping stones, molds, and tiles to complete their annual 5th-grade Creative Legacy Project!

My Project

My fifth graders and I are requesting supplies to help with their annual creative legacy project.

Each year, our 5th-grade class decides on a creative legacy project where they each make something to leave on the campus as a reminder to students, faculty, staff, and families that art is meant to be shared.

Last year, the 5th graders decorated rocks for our Peace Garden. This year, our class has voted on stepping stones to complete a new garden area near our front office.

This isn't just an art lesson; it's a genuine desire on the part of our students to leave a positive mark. It's a thank you. It's a reminder for all of us to stop and look at the beauty that is beneath our own feet. It's a gift that comes from their hearts.

The supplies requested are enough to get them started. The 5th graders are also tasked with finding unique pieces to include in their stepping stones to express a message. Perhaps a message of hope or encouragement; maybe a message of unity and love. Whatever each student chooses will no doubt be a message that inspires our younger students to keep their eyes and hearts open. Art is all around, and it's a way we can communicate with each other.

We hope you consider helping our 5th graders on this path toward their creative legacy.
