This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me bring art and creativity into my classroom! My students are the most amazing children! They are hard working and kind. They all are individuals who love to let their own light shine. Allowing each child's identity to be highlighted allows me and the student's to know each person in the class more deeply. Creating art projects that can be used daily in the classroom is one way we can do this. They love to be creative but we don't always the art resources to make this possible. As many of the children come from households struggling to make ends meet, art projects and creative endeavors are not always pursued.

Launching our reading workshop is an important part of the school year and what better way to do it then to create an individualized bookmark using markers, stickers, card stock bookmarks, and other materials!

This will excite and engage them and let their interests as a reader be seen and highlighted. Please help me make this project come to life!
