Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In my classroom, I strive to give my students the very best experience. This includes putting the most engaging, aligned, and knowledge-building materials into their hands. When creating this project, I thought about the different topics we cover and which resources would spark curiosity, joy, and learning.
I am asking for fun and curriculum-aligned materials like a plant cross-section model, a rocks and fossils kit, and exciting nonfiction books about students around the world.
I have also requested The Megabook of Fluency which will help me better support students as they become automatic, proficient readers. Additionally, I am asking for fun incentives and cushions for our classroom library so that kids are motivated and comfortable as they learn.
I hope that these materials will push my students to new heights in the upcoming school year. I know how passionate kids are about learning and how much they love to engage with academic content through different experiences. Having these especially fun and exciting supplies will allow me to create the learning environment every child deserves!
