My Project
I want to provide a structured support system that addresses both academic challenges and sensory processing needs, promoting equitable learning opportunities for all students. This will foster social inclusion and collaborative learning. I will use the storage cart and materials to create dedicated areas within the classroom equipped with tools like fidget tools, flexible seating, and quiet zones. This will help students with sensory processing difficulties to self-regulate and stay engaged in learning, and it will also support diverse learning styles and accessibility. These materials will encourage peer mentors to assist and include students with sensory and academic needs in group activities and academic tasks while empowering teachers to create inclusive classrooms and respond effectively to student needs.
