This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are learners who work hard and try their best. We are a Title I site with so many eager learners. My students would love to have more opportunities to learn and grow.

My students are passionate and motivated young learners!

I want to do what I can to provide experiences and materials to empower my students to be lifelong learners.

My Project

My students are eager learners and enjoy hands on activities. VersaTiles are an alternative to traditional skills practice which creates a safe learning environment that increases student confidence, and provides immediate feedback.

These materials will not only help students with comprehension skills, but will also allow students to self -check their progress which can increase confidence and student engagement.

Being hands-on is especially important in the classroom because it allows students to experiment with trial and error, learn from their mistakes, and understand the potential gaps between theory and practice. This helps children of all ages retain knowledge and grow.
