My Students

Do you remember being in third grade? I had an awful third grade experience and my goal for the past seven years of teaching third grade has been to provide my students with engaging lessons and activities. I would use an iPad mini for instruction along with independent student learning.

My students are third graders in a rural elementary school in Middle Tennessee.

They are eager to learn and love to move! And of course they love using the computers. Many of my students have some sort of tablet or computer to use at home; however, We only have 3 student computers for all students in the classroom. We live in such a technology driven world and this iPad would provide another technology resource for my students.

My Project

Have you taken a look at all of the education apps located in the Apple App Store? It is absolutely mind-boggling! With the use of an iPad mini, my students would be able to access all kinds of free and purchased apps. My students would be able to use the iPad throughout the day within the disciplines of reading, language arts and math along with being able to conduct research when needed for special projects.

Today's children love technology and can learn so much from it.
