My Project

My students learn best through hands-on learning. They are like sponges and are constantly wanting more. They are at different learning levels. Some need reteaching of skills, while others need extra encouragement for enrichment.

I would like to give my students the opportunity to put technology right at their fingertips.

The Apple iPad is a wonderful resource filled with lots of apps to help build math fluency and reading comprehension for a student. There are apps that we can use that keep them engaged for longer periods of time. The cases will help keep the iPads protected. They can be used for centers, math and reading.

They would be so helpful with skills based on the student's academic ability in smaller groups. During our rotations, students would be able to work on engaging and differentiated lessons in both math and reading.

Adding technology to the rotations will allow me to reach different modalities of learners in my classroom. Not all students learn effectively sitting in a chair with paper and pencil. The iPads will help me reach those who seem to get frustrated, as this could be a different way to learn for them.
