Learning with Technology

My Students

My students come from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds that come together to make a rich classroom mix. Some students often come to school without certain experiences or materials. Despite these shortcomings my students are eager to learn and explore the world outside of our four walls especially through the use of technology. My students want to achieve success by pushing though their adversities.

My goal is to challenge them to learn and understand through various ways that are normally not seen in a math classroom.

My Project

With a MacBook and accessories, we will change the way students learn in our classroom. We will be able to bring videos, screencasts, podcasts and more to create engaging lessons for all of our students. My students will be able to record videos and edit them using the MacBook to co-create lessons that they can share with each other to study and learn at their own pace. We will create a library of topics that will help future classes. My students will be given the opportunity to learn many other skills that are very important in our 21st-century world. We will also be able to explore other online applications that will help students learn more interactively.
