This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you know how interesting and engaging it is to connect abstract learning to real life situations with the use of technology?

My students are mostly English learners.

They are students from poor economic backgrounds. Most of them are new to the country and have not been exposed to modern ways of teaching and learning through the use of technology. My students attend a title one school.

My Project

My students face a lot of challenges. Without visual representation of some abstract materials like particles, molecules, elements and bonding, learning becomes more difficult. They are very eager to learn, but are being hindered by their educational background and lack of resources. The use of this projector with a computer (laptop) will help to broaden their understanding of the subject matter. My students have the desire to learn, so as to bridge the gap between them and other students with good educational resources.

Technology has provided a wonderful setting for teaching and learning, but my students have yet to take advantage of it.

The LCD projector, through videos, power point presentations, etc, will make learning easier. Students are easily connected to prior knowledge through visual learning.
