The use of an iPad and stylus pen will help my students struggling with social-emotional skills working in large groups. An iPad will allow my students to work independently and in a safe comfortable area within the classroom, whether it's on a beanbag chair, on the floor, at their desk, or at the standing table. Students will be able to use the iPad to record and track their reading progress, and Math Facts goal, and correct and receive additional support to reach their Reading, Math, and Writng goals.
Students have had a hard time transitioning back into the classroom throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Some students are used to lying on the floor or sitting on their beds, this is how they worked best in their home environment. With students returning to school full-time, I want my students to know that they can still have a safe comfortable environment for learning. With an iPad, I can upload additional practice for students, reassign assessments, and have students self-track their reading progress all in a comfortable space to do their best.
The stylus pen is a great tool to assist students that need to strengthen their fine motor skills as well as those students that need alternate ways to produce their work, through drawing or free writing.
