This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The majority of students in our classrooms come from low income families and diverse backgrounds. They have a wide range of academic abilities, and each is special and unique in their own way. All of our students love to learn using a variety of techniques. They look forward to using any available educational tools that make learning fun.
My challenge is giving students access to the latest techniques for education on a daily basis to help them improve their reading.
We work with small groups of students to help them learn how to read or improve their reading ability.
My Project
We would like to buy fifteen My First Crayola Double Doodle Boards for primary students who are learning how to read. The students will be able to use their kinesthetic learning style by using these boards to write their letters on a sealed gel surface with their fingers. The sealed gel surface allows for tactile play while learning and identifying letters of the alphabet. The other side of the board can be used as a reusable writing surface that students can use with washable crayons. Students can have fun while learning to read and write letters of the alphabet and words.
