This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are eager to learn and incorporating technology will heighten their desire. Students are in centers throughout the day and work on various hands-on materials to enhance certain skills. Therefore, it is my goal to incorporate technology in my classroom.

My students are from low socioeconomic status backgrounds.

Many of my students live in high-poverty and the entire school receives free breakfast and lunch. Despite the many obstacles my students face outside of school, they come to school with an eagerness to learn. I have 20 students that are acquiring a love of learning and reading. My students are eager to learn and providing them with technology will give them the opportunity to get the individual instruction needed to excel.

My Project

The tablets will be used in centers and students will have the opportunity to work on specific skills. The tablets consist of many educational apps and this will enhance their reading fluency and comprehension. Students will be able to listen and read stories on their reading levels and work on different math activities. I want my students to feel confident using technology so they can feel confident in today's world.

The donations for this project will truly change the lives of my students.

The students will have the opportunity to use technology in their classroom and work on various activities that will keep them stimulated and engaged in reading and math. This will heighten awareness to prepare my students not just for college but for life in an increasingly technological society.
