Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am expanding the fourth grade classes' exposure to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)-based projects and experiences this academic year. The iPad in class will be used by the students to record films and sketch schematics for their engineering projects. They'll let their friends see these videos.

My school has a significant ELL population, and by using the iPad for these projects, kids will have an additional means of self-expression.

Encouraging students to study through technology improves their engagement and makes connections between what they learn in the classroom and real life.
