My first-grade students are inner-city children who inspire me to be the best teacher I can be. They show up ready, and excited about learning.

Their eyes light up with each new discovery! They are critical thinkers who love learning. They are problem solvers and our next-generation innovators.
By providing them with the necessary tools and skills that they need, I know they will be successful.
My Project
My students are making great strides academically because of hands-on learning experiences and small group instruction. They need more hands-on experiences and STEAM is a great approach to cross-curricular integration.
STEAM is critical because it provides students with opportunities to experience exploration, ask and answer questions, do research, discover new ideas, and exercise innovation.
We are in the middle of the school year and I want to see them continuously grow academically. By providing them with these STEAM kits, they can have more opportunities to explore, while working with a peer, or in a group.
