My Students

Testing will become more technology based so I would like to expose my students to more technology in the classroom. Some students are familiar with iPads and could work with others in small groups or partners to read ebooks and play educational games.

I have sixteen students of multiple diverse backgrounds and that speak multiple languages at home.

They are a great group of eager and excited little kindergarten students that love singing and dancing. My school is excellent. It is diverse and family orientated. We have great parents and a wonderful staff, both supportive and inspirational.

My Project

This project requests four Apple iPad mini tablets. I would like to incorporate lessons and activities for students to use the iPads to read ebooks or play educational games. Students will learn with a partner or in small groups while using the iPads. My students are in the early stages of learning to read and write and I would love to incorporate technology to make the lessons more interactive and fun.

Some of my students will never see the use of technology at home.

I hope to encourage these students and make a difference in their lives by showing them a new way to learn that is fun and engaging. The world is moving towards a more technology based environment and I would love to help my students succeed. I feel the use of technology and having these iPads will make learning for my students more successful and give them more motivation to do well in the classroom.
