This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In many urban communities, students are not supplied with the same tools, materials and accessibility found in more affluent areas. My students are growing to be lifelong learners, and they are in need of opportunities to support them in becoming engaged, active scientists and writers!
My third graders are bright, loving, and most importantly - unstoppable in their quest to be successful.
Their families sought out our charter school and put their most valuable young people in my classroom. The parents are confident in my abilities as a teacher and with these new relationships and community connections, I enter my room more prepared and driven to provide my students with the supplies which they need.
My Project
The creativity of 3rd graders knows no bounds! From writers to scientists, these young learners love to be engaged. This project will provide awesome LEGO sets to students as they learn about forces and motion in science and drafting, writing and publishing stories!
These growing students are engaged, creative and love to participate in their own learning.
With science-based LEGO kits, these students will deepen their understanding of forces and motions. Similarly, this project will provide opportunities for story telling -- all while building with LEGO!
They aren't just colorful bricks -- this is learning!
