Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are an amazing group of learners, full of curiosity and energy! I work with children from 3K through 5th grade, and they truly shine when learning feels like play.

The materials in this project include supplies to help keep my speech room organized, such as a wall hanger and folder pockets, as well as engaging tools like a Boogie Board to practice writing, a Kids Echo Microphone as a fun incentive, Blue Marble National Geographic Stepping Stones and a fishing game to make learning active and fun, a toy cashier set to build social and language skills, and a balloon car pump toy to spark excitement and encourage teamwork.

These hands-on, playful tools will make our therapy sessions interactive and enjoyable while supporting essential language development. Through these activities, my students will practice describing attributes, expanding their vocabulary, and strengthening their expressive language in a way that feels fun and motivating. When learning is playful, participation increases, confidence grows, and their smiles light up the room!
