This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"If we teach today as we taught yesterday, we rob our children of tomorrow." John Dewey
My students are a spunky bunch of kids from a low socioeconomic neighborhood, that primarily serves farm worker and military households.
While many of them have a difficult time learning, most of them try really hard to do well they just need additional time, patients, and visual tools to guide them in the right direction.
My Project
The materials that I am requesting are 4 iPod Touches for my students. Keeping their interest in learning is one of the more difficult tasks as a teacher. By providing these supplies my students will gain excitement for learning and help provide the tools needed to meet the needs of today's student. With the thousand of educational applications that are available for the iPods my students are sure to gain knowledge for Science, Math, Language Arts, History, and so much more.
My students are sweet kids who deserve an educational experience that will help them achieve their fullest potential.
By partnering with kind donors I hope to provide students with the tools they need to become confident, excited, inspired learners.
