My Students
I have two classes of dual language kindergarten learners. They are with me for one day learning English, and the other day they are with my partner learning Spanish. The majority of my students speak limited English and are from low income families. My students are extremely diverse in their special learning needs and abilities. It is great to have such a diverse class because we all can learn something from one another. My students enjoy learning new concepts and are overjoyed when they realize they have learned something new! Our school is very fortunate to have a high percentage of parent involvement. Together, with the parents, teachers are able to provide wonderful learning opportunities for the students. I strive to be the best for my students because I know that they try their best for me on a daily basis.
My Project
Technology in the classroom is a great tool to have when it comes to young minds. Unfortunately, our school is unable to provide this type of technology to support our classroom. This is why I am asking for you to help support my classroom in providing the latest technology of three iPads and cases.
Many of our students are struggling emotionally and financially due to being displaced due to Hurricane Harvey.
We would use these iPads during math and language art centers. There are so many apps that will aid in helping my students learn different kindergarten skills. These would be a great resource in supporting the learning and growth of my students as well as preparing them for the upcoming advances of technology.
