My students need iPads to help within small group instruction. These iPads will help when using games and activities tailored to their academic levels.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our class consists primarily of 27 ELL's (English Language Learners). The class is comprised of a diverse population of Hispanics and French students. Most students derive from Puerto Rico, Mexico, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, and Africa. The students are enthusiastic and eager to learn especially using videos, technology and visuals. They enjoy discussing in small groups.
Our school is located in the South Bronx area.
Our school has been extremely supportive with serving the needs of the ELL population with in-school services during school time and with after-school tutorial services as the community consist of low-income family homes.
My Project
My students will use these Ipads enhance our learning through small groups and technology. In an effort to help all my English Language Learning, students will develop high order thinking skills, engage in learning, and become immersed in their learning. I am asking for 4 Ipads to use to help my students in all content areas. Students will use these Ipads to develop greater thinking skills, literacy, phonics, play games, and listening skills.
Many of my students do not have access to technology in their homes.
By using these Ipads within the classroom, this would support their learning and engagement. Technology has become a huge resource in education! In 4th grade, these tablets would be an asset to help students independently work on reading skills and practice math skills.
