Learning With Hot Dots

My students need constant review with math skills, and the hot dots pens will be used with the skills box to give instant reinforcement.

My Students

"See, you can do it!" I often tell my students to build their confidence. Many of them feel defeated before they even try, so I want to assure them that they have so much potential. By purchasing the Hot Dots they will begin hearing the automated pen announcing every time they get a correct answer.

My 4th graders are a lively group filled with personality.

However, they come to school with a lot of family problems which weighs heavily upon them, making it difficult for them to concentrate on their work. Our school tries to incorporate a variety of teaching methods to ensure that all children will learn.

My Project

I plan on using the Hot Dots learning cards in centers where students can work independently and receive instant gratification when they get the correct answer. They can also work with a partner and have a friendly competition, and where they can also help each other if one person becomes stumped.

I want my project to encourage students that they can be successful.

I also want to reinforce math skills that will prepare them for their state exams, as well as every day life skills. My ultimate goal is for students to become comfortable with learning so that it will become a lifetime goal.
