My Project
Computers have become a necessary part of our classroom lives. In recent years, there has been a shift to digital learning for all students. However, with this digital shift, schools are not able to support students with their need for physical devices. Currently, we have a small number of devices to share with the entire grade. This makes it very difficult to use the digital tools that will best support learning. Our reading and math programs have digital components that we cannot access without more devices. This is a huge disservice to my students, who want so badly to connect their learning and use the digital tools they enjoy.
STEM education is also a large part of our classroom learning environment.
However, computer students can not get the full benefit of instruction. We want students to be able to learn how to code as well as use and program robots, but without physical computers, this is next to impossible.
Having an additional computer in the classroom will go a long way in helping my students learn and grow.
