My students need age-appropriate, fun and exciting non-fiction books. What better way to learn about community helpers, animals, insects and weather than with Fly Guy. He is already a favorite in our library!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Hello there. We are a Title I school with some amazing students and teachers. We are all working hard to engage our students while reading and learning. Sometimes it takes a little creativity to introduce facts to our students.
Our students are in need of engaging age-appropriate non-fiction books that will help them learn, comprehend and become stronger readers.
These kids love to learn about animals, historical events and what it takes to make a community work. They enjoy reading and sharing their facts with teachers, and friends.
My Project
The books we are requesting are all topics our students are interested in, with a twist. Fly Guy, one of our students' favorite characters, presents non-fiction facts to students on a level they can understand and enjoy.
Fly Guy is already a favorite-kids will love learning facts about real life topics from him.
Our students are eager to learn more about science, history and our community. With these books, more students will have an opportunity to learn, read, share and enjoy. If you donate to our project I promise these books will be enjoyed for years to come in our library.
