This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My transitional kindergarten students need a computer to learn the basic computer skills.

My students are part of a new transitional kindergarten program being implemented in Los Angeles Unified School District.

We are at a primary center in a low social economic area. Our entire school receives free school lunch and is 100% Title I. These children are enthusiastic and ready to learn even though they don't always have the resources to do so.

My Project

With this computer my transitional kindergarteners will learn basic computer skills such as mouse skills and opening or closing windows. The children will also be able to experience learning in a new and exciting way. They will enrich their vocabulary with the help of visuals that assist their reading comprehension when listening to stories through the computer. They will also be able to access websites that provide support for both the language and math programs.

This computer will enrich their understanding of concepts. These students deserve a chance to experience academics in a more modern and thrilling way. Without your help, these children may not ever be able to explore learning in a more vivid and attractive way. In advance, thank you all for your support.
