My Students

My first graders attend a very small school in the country where most students come from working, but low income families. My students are very eager to learn and LOVE technology. Some of them do not have computers at home, so coming to school and doing things on the computer is something they love.

We come in every morning and get ready to learn.

As a first grade teacher, I work very hard to meet the needs of all students. We try to move around as much as we can, so keeping quiet is very hard.

My Project

I am requesting an iPad mini, along with protective case for my classroom so that students can have a fun new way to learn. I plan on using them in small groups as well as whole group. There are many apps that can be used to enhance student learning and make learning fun. Students will benefit from this because I will be able to download apps that will allow students that are struggling in subject areas to independently practice whatever skill they need. They will also be able to learn new skills from different apps in all subject areas.

Technology is extremely important in today's society and in today's job market.

We need to give our children endless opportunities to use technology so that they can be successful in the future!
