Help me give my students Rhyming Sounds Box, Numbers Feel & Find Sensory Tub and Roll & Race! Activity Ramp for hands on learning in our Kindergarten Classroom.
My students live in a neighborhood in Arkansas that has a combination of low income and middle income families. The families our school serves place a high value on education and are eager to have their children come to our school. Students are excited to come to school each day to learn. In my classroom, I balance planning developmentally appropriate, rigorous learning through hands-on experiences, and play. We are getting ready for success in school, work, and life. Together we laugh, play and learn.
My Project
My students need new games and activities for our classroom math and literacy workstations. Students use these centers daily as we learn through play. Students work with others to improve literacy and math skills.
Your generous donation will give my students a chance to form friendships and improve social skills as they learn new math and reading skills.
We need math games like Numbers Feel & Find Sensory Tub that will allow students to master numbers up to 20. We also need phonics games like Rhyming Sounds Phonemic Awareness Box as we learn rhyming sounds as well as Go Away, Big Green Monster! Storytelling Puppet Kit for some fun story retelling centers.
After 25 years of teaching Kindergarten a lot of my games are starting to show their age from years of love by my students. New games will give my centers a much needed make over. As Fred Roger says, " Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning."
