Learning While Playing

Help me give my students a Bluey School Playset, Magic Tree House Playset, and similar materials relative to their interests that support developmental skills.

My Project

My prekindergarten students are in need of new toys of interest that will support: speech and language, fine motor, social, and emotional development.

Diane Ackerman once said, "Play is our brain's favorite way of learning." My young learners have interest and background familiarity with Bluey, Mickey Mouse and Friends, and other popular characters.

I foresee an increase in student dialogue (with the teacher and peers) while engaged in play activities involving these requested toys. I want to incorporate additional opportunities where students can practice fair ways of play that include: playing together, trading, and taking turns. These are foundational skills of early childhood.
