Help me give my students Teachers Pay Teachers hands on resources, ten frames, word building tiles, foam number dice and writing journals as they learn at home and social distancing. This allows each student to have their own set with no sharing.
I have not met this year's students yet but our school is in a low income area which makes us a Title I school. Last year when schools were closed quickly so many students were unable to participate in the virtual learning due to no internet access or no device.
This year our school system is providing devices for every student.
Since my students are five, six and seven years old they need lots of hands on learning which is hard to do virtually. I want them to have materials at home and school so they can participate in hands on learning.
My Project
I am requesting Teachers Pay Teachers hands on resources, ten frames, word building tiles, foam dice and writing journals as they learn at home and social distancing. The letters will allow them to manipulate letters when working with phonic lessons. The math manipulatives will allow them to play games with their families and to have access to the math manipulatives to use while social distancing and remote learning at home. The journals will be an easy way to keep all their writing in one place while they are going between home and school. It also is very appropriate for their age level; allows them to draw and write depending on the stage of writing they are in.
The Teacher Pay Teachers resources will be used to print materials such as math mats and literacy mats they can use at home also some tool kits for both math and reading that can be kept at home for the students to use.
