My Students

My students are 4 year-olds from low-income families and will be going to Kindergarten next year. Many of them live in apartments and do not get much time outside. They travel to our school on a bus. They spend their day with us and eat breakfast, lunch and snack at school. Many of them are from single-parent households and do not have a working parent, and have many have siblings. They love to be hugged and appreciated. They love school. They love to learn.I try to give them the best education I can with learning, laughter, and lots of love.

My Project

These items will help my children continue learning at home. They learn best when they are able to have hands on materials that help them learn such as number puzzles, magnetic tiles,and and word puzzles.

While we spent time in the classroom the children most favorite thing was alpha-bots.

They loved changing them from robots to letters. They were learning while playing and did not even realize it. I would love to be able to give them each a set to have at their home to continue learning while we are apart.
