Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a very active group of learners this year. Many cannot focus due to high energy. The wiggle stools are a great tool for my active learners. They can move about and get out the energy while staying at their desk and completing their work. Many of my students says it helps them focus and keeps them from bothering their classmates. My goal is for the students to be able to spend more time on task and improve their focus.

My second goal is to make reading more enjoyable.

With the oversized pillows students can find a spot in the room to read. They get a break from their desk and the HARD plastic chairs. They get the opportunity to mix up the routine be sitting elsewhere in the room and relax with a good story. This will make reading a reward vs. a chore. The more they read the more their Language skills will improve.
