This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A light table is a great tool to motivate students in the approach of learning different subjects like science, math language arts and so much more. PreK is the grade were kids start wondering and exploring the world around them. Having a light table with its materials allows children to investigate, create, and let their imagination fly along with their creativity. The glowing calls students' attention and enhance their interest in learning letters, numbers, patterns, and color mix. Also allows students to play endlessly possibilities for a long period of time reinforcing their focus.
We are a Title 1 school located in a low-income community.
The VPK classroom was depleted of materials and with this project we want to provide students with opportunities for learning and meeting their needs. Hands-on activities are an effective way to encourage four-year-olds, especially when they struggle with language barriers. For these reasons, the light table and its materials would be a great addition to our VPK class in our school.
