Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These items are going to help my classroom build community. Community is built both in and out of the class. The snacks will provide emotional regulation during the day. I strive to offer two snacks in an attempt to stabilize the blood sugar of my students, thus maximizing teaching and learning. Additionally, my students struggle during the unstructured part of the day. I believe the equipment will give structure and provide opportunities to share, take turns, and wait. My students are 100% on free and reduced lunch. I want to provide them with a chance to learn about others who are different from them. My students don't have many opportunities.
