Early childhood education teachers can all agree on one thing: students thrive on structure, organization, and routine. Our students are unique and energetic learners who each have very specific goals and skills they are working on, throughout the day. Every activity that is designed in our classroom is geared towards accomplishing these goals. These goals go beyond academics and include activities of daily living and social skills.
I want to encourage students to take risks and be excited about learning new things.
It is so important to build up self-esteem and independence at this young age and I want to make sure my students to start off their education on the right foot.
My Project
Distance learning is a new concept to our entire educational system. We are all working to re-create our small group instruction through the computer while trying to make it as engaging as possible. In order to engage my students, both with and without special needs, I need reliable technology. A Macbook computer and Elmo document camera will allow me to interact with both large and small groups of students throughout the day by showing examples of writing, math with the use of manipulatives, and screen sharing presentations.
By donating to this project you will help me bridge the learning gap of my students throughout their education; both remotely and in person in the future.
My students are my priority and in order to help them learn as effectively as possible a laptop and Elmo will allow me to work with them throughout the day.
