Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have been back to in-person learning for a few months now and they couldn’t be more excited to be reunited with their classmates and teachers. They are learning and socializing with their friends and making great strides.

My students are resilient, determined, and hopeful for brighter days ahead and I know they will try their very best to become lifelong little learners.

When I think of how hard this pandemic has been for me, I stop to think how much harder this has been for my students and their families. In spite of it all, my little first graders have stepped it up and are doing their best to complete all of their daily assignments and return to somewhat of a “normal life”. I am beyond proud of them and love them with all my heart.

My Project

My little first graders recently got hit hard with Corona Virus. I had 9 students not return after the holiday break because they had contracted the virus. This was so stressful for both the families and me. I was stressed out because my littles weren’t in school learning. Some of my kids were out between 10-15 days and our learning environment just wasn’t the same.

My goal is to have a nice station at the entrance of the room offering masks, hand sanitizer dispenser, and a hygiene station to help keep us safe.

I am also requesting individual hand sanitizers to send home with my kids to carry in their backpacks. We will do our best to stay safe and not let this virus stop us from being in the classroom and learning. Thank you for taking the time to read our project and possibly donating to it. Stay safe!
