This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Many of my class qualifies for free or reduced rate lunch. My students are diverse learners that all need something different from school. Students in my class are given access to flexible seating, a classroom library, and a Makerspace every day in order to better their learning.
Our classroom is full of diverse, excited learners who need a wide range of resources to learn.
My goal is to create a caring classroom community where my students feel valued and a sense of belonging. My students teach me just as much as I teach them.
My Project
My students would use the Qball throwable microphone during morning meeting, reading aloud and presentations. Students are encouraged to share their writing and using the microphone will help students improve their speaking skills.
Public speaking is necessary for almost every career and using a microphone will encourage and help students be heard throughout the classroom.
Students will be able to toss the microphone to each other making speaking more fun and encouraging shy students to want to speak.
The STEM challenges will be used to encourage students to think outside the box using STEM strategies. Students will build, write and create based on science, technology, engineering and mathematical standards.
