Learning To Read!

My students need leveled readers to push ahead in their reading endeavors. This assortment of books will appeal to all readers.

My Students

Pre-K is the foundation for the love of reading. I want my students to come to school and want to read books instead of playing with the cars or Barbies. This group of readers will help all levels in this effort.

I teach Pre-K in an urban area.

We are competing with technology and video games at home and I want to make my babies love reading. I have 18 students from all ethnicities. I have a mixture of boys and girls who love everything from Tonka trucks to Elsa and Anna. My students love to learn. Pre-K is the first exposure to anything academic and I want to make sure my students develop a love of reading.

My Project

Curriculum has changed so drastically throughout the last few years and my Pre-K students need to be ready to start reading by the time they leave me. I would love these leveled readers to push my students. I think that the students that come in ahead of the curve will benefit tremendously from these book and the students who come in without any prior knowledge will love looking at these books and learning through exposure.

Reading is the most important skill a child can achieve.

My students strive for this everyday. I want to have the resources and tools to push this desire. These books will make this job a lot easier and a lot more fun for everyone!
