My Students

A love of reading develops in Kindergarten. We spend much of the year learning our sounds & letters, sight words, and rhyming words.

My students love Dr. Seuss books!

To practice our reading, we read books individually, with partners, in small groups, as well as choral reading. We rarely get to read the same book together. So, it is my goal for us to have a class set of books that we can read together. Thank you for helping us meet our goal.

My Project

My students learn to read in Kindergarten. Many of them don't have books at home. The books they read at school are so important!

My students adore Dr. Seuss books!

One of their favorites is Hop On Pop. Reading is so much fun through Dr. Seuss books!

It is my goal to have a class set of Hop On Pop so that students can read individually, partners, in small groups, as well as read all together. Students will learn to read fluently by reading the same book again and again. Also, I will empower students through art. We will be illustrating and making clay models to go with the book.
