This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

During the first two years of primary school, children learn to read, and by third grade, they are expected to use reading as a tool to learn new concepts. However, when the curriculum and teaching methods in the early grades don’t effectively address these needs—especially when compounded by learning disabilities—it becomes clear that something is missing. As a teacher who is passionate about helping my students succeed, it is my responsibility to identify what is lacking, seek professional development, and apply new strategies to better support my students.

With this in mind, I humbly request your support in making this possible.

The EBLI K-12 Intervention training will equip me with the knowledge and resources, including student lessons, that will support my students, regardless of their ability levels.
