Our school is located in Southwest Virginia, with the majority of my third graders living in low-income homes. Despite their experiences and personal situations, my students love coming to school! We strive to create a positive community in our classroom.
My students are very eager to read new books!
They are inquisitive, imaginative, and creative. Their desire to learn has inspired me to search for additional classroom pieces that can assist us with our learning. I want my students to have a very successful and exciting third grade year!
My Project
For this project, I am requesting magnetic letters and whisper phones for reading practice. We are currently working on adding, deleting, and manipulating sounds in words during some of our reading groups. Students are also working on independent reading throughout the day. The whisper phones would come in handy for students who need to read aloud to themselves. We are also requesting clocks as we will be learning about telling time very soon.
