Learning to Read is a Magical Experience

My students need more cushions for their Reading Center. They would love to sit in a quiet, comfortable place in the classroom. Some of our books are worn down and need replacement.

Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are optimistic and eager to learn. They love all subjects, but they particularly enjoy working with numbers, Social Studies, Computer Skills, and Science. Their favorite time of day occurs when they are in small group activities.

My class is located in a financially distressed area, but our class has a passion for reading independently and finding creative ways of retelling it to others.

In addition, most of my students are hands-on learners who are learning how to overcome challenges during the learning process.

My Project

The Reading Corner in my classroom is in need of new books and comfortable cushions to sit upon. My students will get the opportunity to use the Reading Corner as a Writing Center too. Students will also have the opportunity to use poster board, crayons, markers, glue, and scissors to present their book reviews. It is a place for their imaginations to grow and let their stories come to life.

Plus, my students will get the opportunity to write original stories of their own and present their finished projects to others.

My students will get the opportunity to create their very own class anthology.
