Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have developmental delays and typical reading strategies may not engage them in learning. These early readers are fun and help them focus on frequently used sight words and also help develop phonemic skills.

The LEGO set will also engage their interest and encourage them to create and share with classmates.

Many of our students need direct instruction on how to engage with peers and appropriate social cues. Working in groups using the Legos will help them learn about turn taking, sharing and of course being creative.

Creating relationships with peers is very important for our young kiddos that may not know how to initiate engagement. These items will encourage group activities.
