Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are brilliant, creative and full of life! They all come from different walks of life, but here in second grade we are all focused on the same thing.
We grow together as human beings and a successful learners.
This means we all help each other reach our goals. Every student learns in their own way and at their own pace, but we nurture that environment here.
I am so proud to teach these students for this year.
My Project
Our second graders do not have any equipment to play with outside. Skills needed to play fairly and appropriately are still being learned in second grade, it's so important that we do our best to be successful when playing with others.
Learning to play outside, working on gross motor skills and sportsmanship is so important.
Students now do not have the materials needed to play a game of soccer, basketball, or even jump rope! What we are asking for are materials to help set our students up for these learning opportunities when playing together outside. We are asking for all materials to help fill our recess times with learning and games!
