My Students

I teach in a full-day preschool classroom with 24 children. These children live in a low-income area where many of them come to school without proper shoes, jackets, and food. Many of them have overcome the struggles of poverty, broken homes, and being homeless.

However, I believe my students are entitled to have the best education that's desirable for them.

I enjoy working in this area because it is so rewarding. It is remarkable watching my students overcome new obstacles every day. My classroom is like a second home for my students; most of them spend more than eight hours a day with me. They use my classroom as a place for warmth, love, and to escape their troubles. As a teacher, it is very important for me to keep my students safe, inspired, engaged, and passionate about learning because these young students are the future. Your generous donation will remarkably enhance their first learning experience. Thank you for helping me make a difference in their lives and learning.

My Project

My students are full of life. They are like little explorers that like to discover new things. This year I would like to teach my students more about environmental science. One of our theme units this year is gardening. I would like to teach my students how to grow a garden. Teaching young children gardening will help them develop new skills and learn about environmental science and nature from growing their own food. It will also help teach them how to take care of the environment.

I am requesting planting soils, succulents, planting pots, and small rocks for my students to use as we learn to plant and learn about science.

My students will be working together as a team with another preschool class to plant flowers, fruits, and vegetables for our garden. It is so great when children can go outdoor and experience the world first hand. Having a garden at school will brighten up the environment and it will allow students to feel a sense of ownership in our school. Building a garden is also a great way to teach children the process of planting and growing. With your generous donations together, we can grow a better tomorrow.
